SSD Academy successfully hosted a crucial workshop on “Quarterly Progress Review, Target Specification & Trainer Guidelines” on July 27, 2026, under the ILO-ISEC Project at Hotel Beach Park, Cox’s Bazar. Organized in collaboration with consortium partners Research and Training Initiative (RTI) and Skills Training and Technology Institute (STTI), the event served as a major step forward in advancing technical and vocational opportunities in the region.
The high-level workshop convened 23 key participants, including lead trainers, operations teams, consortium heads, and representatives from the International Labour Organization (ILO). Together, the attendees focused on elevating the overall quality and impact of skills training programs designed specifically for Qwami Madrasah pre-vocational graduates.
Throughout the session, delegates conducted a thorough review of quarterly milestones and field insights across various trade disciplines. Specialized breakout groups worked to standardize delivery methods, establishing uniform lesson plans, practical evaluation criteria, and rigorous safety standards across five main trades: Graphic Design, Tailoring, Electrical Installation, Digital Marketing, and Primary Health Care Services. Additionally, the team refined its job placement strategy to create stronger links between program graduates and local employment, apprenticeship opportunities, and self-employment avenues.
The workshop concluded with strong support from key leadership, including Md. Serajul Islam (NPM, ILO), Khan Mohammad Mahmud Hasan (Consultant, ILO), Ziabul Haque (CEO, SSD Academy), Saeeduzzaman (Chairman, RTI), and Md. Sariful Alam (Director, STTI). With fresh insights and aligned targets, the consortium expressed deep gratitude to all contributors and reaffirmed its readiness to drive the next phase of training delivery.
