On July 30, 2026, a significant Stakeholder Workshop and Memorandum of Understanding Signing Ceremony took place at the Tajwidul Quran Madrasa and Orphanage in Morichya, Cox’s Bazar. Organized by the SSD Academy Consortium, comprising SSD Academy, Reliance Technical Institute, and Sharif Technical Training Institute, the event operated under the ILO-ISEC Project framework. The gathering successfully united directors, principals, Muhtamims, and local elected representatives from over 20 regional schools and madrasas to witness operational capacities and forge institutional partnerships for bulk garment and uniform production.
The day’s agenda featured a comprehensive guided tour of the TDM Production Center’s facilities. Institutional leaders and visiting officials observed the cutting, stitching, finishing, and quality control sections firsthand. This transparent demonstration of capacity set the stage for a stakeholder briefing session, where leaders discussed the practicalities of localized production for student uniforms and lab aprons.
A major highlight of the ceremony was the formal execution of four tripartite agreements for annual uniform and apron procurement. Partnerships were finalized with prominent local institutions: Modinatul Uloom Madrasah & Eatimkhana, directed by Mawlana Kari Abu Naser, Mohious Sunnah Madrasah, directed by Mawlana Nasir Ahmed, Sultania Azizul Uloom Madrasah, directed by Mawlana Azizur Rahman, and Tawhidia Darul Uloom Madrasah, directed by Mawlana Sirajul Kabir. All contracts were co-signed by Ziabul Haque, CEO of SSD Academy, and Nur Mohammad, Principal of the host institution.
Distinguished guests, including Md. Serajul Islam, National Project Manager for the ILO-ISEC Project, alongside key consortium officials, praised the initiative’s strategic significance. By securing these annual supply contracts, the project creates a self-sustaining business model that guarantees direct market integration and fair wage distribution for certified female Tailoring & Dress Making trainees. The event marks a crucial step in fostering community ownership and long-term economic self-reliance across the region, with several other participating institutions submitting preliminary documentation for future partnerships.
